Out of Nowhere | Rob Chaffart, |
I was a student in France, living in the mountains (this was decades ago, when dinosaurs used to roam the land!). I had to take my car to go to church. I was concerned, as it was snowing heavily and the roads were slippery. Before leaving my dorm, I prayed for God to help me get safely to church. As soon as I left the dorm's parking lot, I had to climb a sharp, snow-covered hill. I started to slip and was unable to move on. I prayed again for divine assistance. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a man appeared and knocked at my window. I thought perhaps I just hadn't seen him coming, as I was concentrating so much on my dilemma. I rolled down my window, and to my amazement the gentleman told me that he would help push my car to the main road. I told him I would get out and help him but he said this wouldn't be necessary, to please stay at the wheel. I was really puzzling over this. It would be impossible for one man to push any car up such a steep slop. Still, I obeyed him and to my amazement, he pushed me to the main road, without any problems. As soon as we reached the summit, I jumped out of my car to thank him, but he was nowhere to be found. I had a clear view of the main road and of the sharp hill, but I couldn't see him. Even if he had sprinted I would have been able to see him run away. He was gone! Pouf! Right there and then, I realized that God had sent me one of his angels. With a grateful heart, and before traveling on I paused to pray and thanked God for his protection.
Note: Rob adds that angels are only the agents from God and that we need to remember not to worship angels! |
